Selection Process Getting into NDA is a tough yet rewarding challenge. The selection process involves: Written Exam: Conducted by UPSC twice a year (April & September), the exam tests your mathematical ability and general knowledge. SSB Interview: A rigorous 5-day process that evaluates your intelligence, personality, communication skills, and leadership qualities. Medical Examination: Ensuring you meet the required physical and mental fitness standards. Eligibility Criteria To apply for NDA, you must meet the following criteria:✔ Age: Between 16.5 to 19.5 years✔ Educational Qualification: For Army: 12th pass (any stream) For Navy & Air Force: 12th pass with Physics and Mathematics✔ Gender: Open to both male and female candidates Training at NDA Cadets undergo a 3-year training program at NDA, where they receive a balanced mix of academic education and military training. After NDA, cadets proceed to their respective academies: Indian Military Academy (IMA) – Army Indian Naval Academy (INA) – Navy Air Force Academy (AFA) – Air Force After successful completion, cadets are commissioned as officers in their respective forces.
